Adah Sharma to play lawyer-detective in Disney+ Hotstar's 'Reeta Sanyal'
Disney+ Hotstar announced a new show, Reeta Sanyal, featuring actor Adah Sharma in the lead role on Wednesday. In this series, Sharma will portray a multifaceted character named Reeta who is a lawyer, detective, and chameleon-like figure. The narrative promises to keep viewers on tenterhooks as she tackles various challenging cases. The show is set to premiere on October 14 and can be viewed free on mobile.

Sharing the clip, the streaming platform captioned it, "Tehelka is coming! #ReetaSanyal streaming October 14th on @disneyplushotstar, (sic)." Sharma's excitement and series production details
Sharma expressed her enthusiasm about playing the character of Reeta Sanyal, stating, "I've always wanted to play a character like Reeta Sanyal." "The minute I read the script for Reeta Sanyal, I knew this was the show for me. Here I got to play 10 people in one show! There's action, comedy, drama, thrill, crime...all of it!" The series is produced by Rajeshwar Nair and Krishnan Iyer under Keylight Productions and directed by Abhirup Ghosh.
'Reeta Sanyal' is based on Amit Khan's character
The series is based on a character created by acclaimed writer Amit Khan. Nair, the producer and co-founder of Keylight Productions, praised Sharma's portrayal of Reeta. He said, "Adah has effortlessly donned the character of Reeta and brought her to life... she is an incredible actor and has done absolute justice to the character." The show also features Rahul Dev, Ankur Rathee, and Manik Papneja in significant roles.
