Sujata Kumar, Sridevi's 'English Vinglish' sibling, dies after battling cancer
Actress Sujata Kumar, who played Sridevi's sister in 'English Vinglish' and appeared in many shows, passed away on Sunday after battling cancer. The news was confirmed by her sister, actor and singer Suchitra Krishnamoorthi. She wrote life will never be the same again. Suchitra informed Sujata's mortal remains will be cremated on Monday at Vile Parle crematorium in Juhu, but she later deleted that tweet.

On August 18, Suchitra wrote about Sujata's battle with the deadly disease. She posted a photo and wrote Sujata was in ICU. "It feels like somebody has plunged a hard cold knife into my heart and ripped the ground from under my feet," she had written. The sister had asked everyone to pray for her Suzie Puzie.
Sujata passed away from multiple organ failure
Sujata was suffering from fourth stage cancer and it had metastized, a report said. She was admitted at Lilavati Hospital, Mumbai. However, her health worsened and it is said she died of multiple organ failure. Notably, Sujata was a cancer survivor and when Gauri Shinde cast her for 'English Vinglish', she had said how glad she was.
Sujata has appeared in many movies and TV shows
Sujata was a part of movies 'Gori Tere Pyaar Me' and 'Guzaarish'. She was also seen in Anil Kapoor's '24' as Meghna Singhania. Along with this, Sujata appeared on Star One's 'Hotel Kingston', and Zee Cafe's 'Bombay Talking'. May she rest in peace.
