Sonali Bendre today took to Twitter to inform her fans that she has been diagnosed with a high-grade cancer.
Opening up about her illness, Sonali said the diagnosis came as a rude shock to her and her family members.
The actress is currently undergoing a course of treatment in New York.

Sonali, in her elongated post, thanked her family members and close friends for staying by her side during the tough times. "I am very blessed and thankful for each one of them," she wrote.
Further, she said that she is determined to fight every step of the way. "There's no better way to tackle this than to take swift and immediate action," Sonali said.

She recently stepped down as judge of 'India's Best Dramebaaz'
On the professional front, Sonali, who was a part of the third season of 'India's Best Dramebaaz', recently exited the much-loved reality show citing personal reasons.
The makers then roped in Huma Qureshi as her replacement.
Sonali, 43, was last seen on the big screen in a cameo in 'Once Upon A Time in Mumbai Dobaara!' that released in 2013.
