'Kisna' actress Isha Sharvani duped of Rs. 3L, three arrested
Bollywood actress Isha Sharvani was recently cheated of Rs. 3 lakh. According to media reports, three men had contacted the 34-year-old, who currently lives in Perth (Australia), pretending to be Australian Tax officers and asked her to transfer the amount. The reports also suggested that the imposters were arrested by the cyber unit of the Delhi Police for duping the Qarib Qarib Singlle actress.
Accused pretended to be from Australian Tax office
Reportedly, the accused had asked Isha to transfer 5,700 AUD (around Rs. 3 lakh) via Western Union and RIA Money Transfer. Sharing details about the incident, Delhi Police's PRO said, "The Cyber Crime Unit (CyPAD) has arrested three men who had duped a renowned NRI female actor/performer, Ms Isha Sharvani, who now lives in Perth, Australia, pretending to be from Australian Tax Office."
Isha made her debut with Vivek Oberoi starrer 'Kisna'
Talking about her Bollywood journey, Isha made her big debut with Subhash Ghai's 2005 release Kisna opposite Vivek Oberoi. Although the movie failed to create a buzz at the box office, her performance was well appreciated by the audience and critics. She was later seen in several movies like Rocky: The Rebel (2006), Good Boy, Bad Boy (2007), Luck By Chance (2009), etc.
Isha was last seen in Irrfan Khan's 'Qarib Qarib Singlle'
She was also seen flaunting her dancing skills in the fifth season of dance-based reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. Besides, her performance in 2014 release Malayalam film Iyobinte Pusthakam was also well appreciated. Isha was last seen in Irrfan Khan's 2017 release Qarib Qarib Singlle.
