Kangana's shocking confession: 'I hate being an actor'
Bollywood actor and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Kangana Ranaut has shockingly revealed her dislike for acting while expressing her love for directing. The 37-year-old actor, who has been in the film industry for nearly two decades, described acting as "too passive" and said she "hates it with so much intensity." However, she finds directing to be a more fulfilling role.
'What's going on with my life?'
In an interview with IANS, the actor said, "I just hate being an actor. You come to the set and you're always looking 'what's happening? You know, What's going on? Which scene are you doing? You are just always wondering, What's going on?" She added, "And besides, You wonder, what's going on with my life? What am I doing? You know, so much time is getting wasted."
Why Ranaut loves to direct instead
Ranaut further said, "And then there's the AD (assistant director), who says 'we are ready' and when you're ready. Then (they say) 'wait, wait.'.. Even if you're the main lead. You know, I hate it." "Being a director, I love being a director. I think I'm one of those, better directors, you know, who understand how vulnerable it is to be an actor. You know, actors are my favourite people on the sets. I love to guide them."
Ranaut gears up for 'Emergency' release
