Actor Nitin Chauhaan, who appeared in TV shows such as Crime Patrol and Gumraah, was discovered dead in his Mumbai home on Thursday (November 7). He was 35. The Mumbai Police have confirmed that the death was a suicide. Chauhaan had reportedly been undergoing treatment for depression. New reports suggest that his wife told the police that he had been unemployed for the last three to four years, worsening his mental health.

The news of Chauhaan's death was confirmed by his Tera Yaar Hoon Main co-star Sudeep Sahir on Friday. Actor Vibhuti Thaakur also expressed her sorrow on Instagram, writing, "Rest in peace, my dear. I'm really shocked and sad. I wish you had the strength to face all the troubles. I wish you were mentally strong like your body." Reports state that on hearing about his son's demise, Chauhaan's father informed friends and immediately traveled from Delhi to Mumbai.
