Late actor-comedian Bob Saget's family reveals reason behind his death
Last month, noted American comedian Bob Saget was found dead in a hotel room in Florida. While there were "no signs of foul play or drug use" at the scene, the exact reason behind his death was not revealed at the time. On Wednesday, however, his family issued a statement that said the Full House actor died from an accidental blow to his head.
What was the content of the statement?
"The authorities have determined that Bob passed from head trauma. They have concluded that he accidentally hit the back of his head on something, thought nothing of it, and went to sleep," the statement issued by the family read. It added, "No drugs or alcohol were involved," a claim that was made by the police as well at the time of Saget's passing.
'Overwhelmed with outpouring of love from Bob's fans'
The family said it was "overwhelmed with the incredible outpouring of love from Bob's fans." "As we continue to mourn...we ask everyone to remember the love and laughter Bob brought to this world, and the lessons he taught us all: to be kind to everyone, to let the people you love know you love them, and to face difficult times with hugs and laughter."
What had happened during that night?
The news of Saget's death surfaced after the official Twitter handle of Orange County, Florida's sheriff's office revealed having received "a call about an unresponsive man in a hotel room" of Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes. This man was identified to be Saget and was "pronounced deceased on [the] scene." He was in Florida as part of his comedy tour according to his Twitter feed.
