Nawazuddin Siddiqui and family cleared in molestation case
Prominent Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, along with four of his family members, has been acquitted of molestation charges by Uttar Pradesh Police. The case was initiated nearly a decade ago by his wife, Aaliya Siddiqui. Aaliya is a television personality and producer who lodged her complaint at the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) court in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. She was also a part of Bigg Boss OTT 2.
Details of the allegations and investigation outcome
Aaliya accused Siddiqui's brother, Minazuddin, of molesting a minor family member in 2012 and alleged that the rest of the family supported him. After a comprehensive investigation into these allegations, the police submitted their final report in 2023, clearing Siddiqui and his family members of any misconduct. Notably, despite multiple notices to present her case in court, Aaliya did not appear. Consequently, the court accepted the police's report and acquitted Siddiqui and his family.
Aaliya's unexpected social media post sparked speculation recently
In a surprising turn of events, Aaliya recently shared a video on social media celebrating her 14th wedding anniversary with Siddiqui. The post included heartwarming family photos of the couple with their two children. "Celebrating 14 years of wedded bliss with my one and only. Anniversary cheers," she captioned the video. This unexpected post led fans to speculate about a potential reconciliation between Aaliya and Siddiqui, following a long-drawn public battle between them that lasted months.
Aaliya on her reconciliation with Siddiqui
Speaking about her reconciliation with the actor, Aaliya told ETimes, "I feel the problems we faced in our relationship were always because of a third person. But now that misunderstanding is out of our lives. Because of our kids, we have completely surrendered. There's no option of being apart in life now because the kids are also growing up." "So we decided that we are not going to fight and will live together, peacefully."
Siddiqui's upcoming projects
Despite the personal turbulence, Siddiqui continues to focus on his acting career. He is currently preparing for his next role in the film Section 108, a crime thriller directed by Rasikh Khan. Per reports, Regina Cassandra and Aasif Khan will also star in the project. He has Noorani Chehra in the pipeline, which features Nupur Sanon. Khan was last seen in the Telugu film Saindhav.
