Oscars 2025: Kieran Culkin wins Best Supporting Actor
What's the story
Kieran Culkin has done it!
The 42-year-old won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for A Real Pain at Sunday's Academy Awards held at the Dolby Theatre.
Last year's winner, actor Robert Downey Jr. presented Culkin with the award.
Interestingly, the Succession star had tried to quit Jesse Eisenberg's project just weeks before production started!
Winning speech
Culkin's speech was nothing short of extraordinary
Taking to the stage to accept his award, Culkin started things off by tilting his hat toward fellow nominee and Succession sibling, Jeremy Strong.
He thanked his A Real Pain co-star-director Eisenberg, calling him "a genius."
Finally, Culkin left everyone wheezing by addressing his wife, Jazz Charton, and reminding her that she'd promised him two more children if he won at the Academy Awards.
