Abhishek Varman is an Indian director and screenplay writer known for directing ‘Two States’ (2014), and ‘Kalank’ (2019). He is the son of noted art director R Varman. Before making his directorial debut, he has worked as an assistant director with Ashutosh Gowariker in ‘Jodhaa Akbar,' with Karan Johan in ‘My Name Is Khan,' with Sanjay Leela Bhansali in ‘Devdas’ and with Raj Kanwar in ‘Humko Deewana Kar Gaye’ (2006). He has also worked as a creative director in the 2012 movie ‘Student Of The Year.' In 2014, he received the Filmfare Award for the Best Debut Director for the movie ‘Two States.’
