Actor Abhishek Bachchan, who recently celebrated his 45th birthday, is all set to commence shooting for Dasvi.
The movie is touted to be a political comedy, which marks the directorial debut of Tushar Jalota.
The film has been produced by Dinesh Vijan, and will reportedly deliver a message about the importance of education in today's times.

Unlike any political film made in Bollywood, source says
Pinkvilla reports that Bachchan's character will be that of a 10th standard fail Chief Minister.
"The film is unlike any political film made in Bollywood as the narrative is entangled with a lot of humor (sic)," a source told the publication.
Actors Yami Gautam and Nimrat Kaur are also said to be associated with the film, but details about their characters remain unknown.

The source added, "All through the lockdown, Abhishek has been in constant touch with Tushar and Dinoo (Vijan), to discuss this film and it's finally all set to go on the floors from February 22 (sic)."
"It's a script close to Abhishek's heart and he is looking forward to get into the tale that chronicles the journey of a corrupt politician (sic)."
History
Not the first political movie for Bachchan
The film will be set against the backdrop of politics, and its shooting is expected to take place in Delhi.
Before this, Bachchan had essayed the role of a flamboyant politician in the drama Paa, where he played the father to a child suffering from progeria.
Further, his role as Shankar Nagre in the movie Sarkar also had political undertones.

Bachchan also working on various other projects
Bachchan had recently wrapped up the shooting of Shah Rukh Khan and Sujoy Ghosh's production, Bob Biswas. The film is a spin-off to the 2012 thriller Kahaani starring Vidya Balan.
That apart, he is awaiting the release of The Big Bull, which is set for release on Disney+ Hotstar. The movie is based on the life of infamous stockbroker Harshad Mehta.
