'Baahubali' maker in talks to direct Aamir's 'Mahabharata'
Aamir Khan's dream project 'Mahabharata' is getting bigger by the day. After the news of India's biggest business tycoon Mukesh Ambani producing the film surfaced, fresh reports have it that the ace filmmaker SS Rajamouli may come on board as the director. Rajamouli has proved his mettle as a maverick director with the 'Baahubali' series.
Rajamouli had previously expressed his interest in the Hindu epic
Just like Aamir, Rajamouli had also been meaning to bring the epic tale of 'Mahabharata' to the big screen. He had even suggested that Mr. Perfectionist should essay Krishna in the film. 'Mahabharata' is said to be made in three to five installments spread over a period of 10-15 years.
Here's what Aamir had once told a leading magazine
"My dream project is to make the 'Mahabharata' but I am afraid of starting the project as I know it will consume at least 15-20 years of my life," Aamir had said.
