#MajorSetback: Aamir's 'Thugs Of Hindostan' leaked online, hours after release
Aamir Khan's 'Thugs Of Hindostan' has been making headlines, mostly owing to its disappointing reviews. And while the makers are still finding a way to deal with the criticism, ToH team got another setback. According to the media reports, the movie has been leaked online within hours of its theatrical release. The reports further suggest that ToH has been leaked in all the three languages.
Tamilrockers leaked 'Thugs Of Hindostan' in HD quality
Reportedly, 'Thugs Of Hindostan' was leaked in HD quality by infamous film piracy website Tamilrockers. The website, which is administered internationally, uploaded the movie in all the three languages it was released in, i.e., Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. What came as a major setback was that the movie was leaked online merely a few hours after its first show on Thursday, November 8.
Fans seek legal action against Tamilrockers
Notably, 'Thugs Of Hindostan' hasn't been the first victim of film piracy. Tamilrockers had earlier leaked the Tamil movie 'Sarkar' starring Vijay. Miffed with the piracy, fans have urged Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) to take legal action against the website. Interestingly, TFPC had earlier urged the theater owners "to ward off people using cameras and mobile phones in cinema halls."
Online leak to affect ToH collections?
The first-day online leak has certainly come as a shock not just for the audience but also for the team of ToH. Although the trade experts believe that the movie is likely to get a good start at the box-office, the disappointing reviews and the online leak might affect the box office collections of ToH. We wonder how far will it go at box-office.
