Have decided to drop the pretense, Aamir quits social media
A day after fans, friends, and industry colleagues showered him with wishes on his 56th birthday, Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan announced that he is quitting social media. He has put up the same last post on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, informing everyone about the decision. Mr. Perfectionist of Bollywood said it's better to drop the pretense, considering he isn't active on these platforms.
'We will communicate as we did before'
In his last post on social media, Khan said that he will communicate with his fans just like in the good old days. "We will continue to communicate as we did before. In addition, AKP has created its official channel! So future updates on me and my films can be found there. Here's the official handle! @akppl_official," the post read.

Earlier, Khan had switched off his phone indefinitely
Khan, who is busy with his ambitious project Laal Singh Chaddha, had shut down his phone and gone offline for an indefinite period of time, a few days back. He wanted to focus on his work as well as his personal life. "Khan feels that he is addicted to his cellphone and that's impacting his personal and professional space," sources had told IANS.
'Laal Singh Chaddha' has been shot in 100 Indian locations
Khan's next, Laal Singh Chaddha, has been in the making for a long time. The film is an official remake of the 1994 Oscar-winning movie, Forrest Gump, starring Tom Hanks. The project, which also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan in a pivotal role, is eyeing a Christmas release this year. Directed by Advait Chandan, it has been shot in over 100 locations in India.
He also has Gulshan Kumar's biopic in the pipeline
Apart from Laal Singh Chaddha, Khan, whose last release was in 2018, also has the biopic on T-Series founder Gulshan Kumar in his kitty. Titled Mogul, it will show Kumar's life and how he was killed in broad daylight allegedly by some goons. Last month, it was reported that he is in talks with Shubh Mangal Saavdhan director RS Prasanna for a sports film.
