Aamir Khan agrees to produce Gulshan Kumar biopic with T-Series
'Mogul', the film on T-Series founder Gulshan Kumar, was in a lurch after Akshay Kumar had left it. However, producer Bhushan Kumar, Gulshan's son, ran the script by Rajkumar Hirani who passed it on to Aamir Khan. Interested in the project, Aamir got involved. This leads us to believe that despite lacking an actor, things are turning around for the film.

A film without a lead actor?
'Mogul' floundered in the film-making process as star Akshay Kumar left the project. Although initially claims of leaving were denied on both sides, Bhushan is miffed with the star for leaving. Akshay is supposed to have walked out over creative differences with director Subhash Kapoor and has returned his initial signing fee. Bhushan, on his part, has promised to bring on a bigger star.
The show must go on for 'Mogul'
In hopes of bringing on a bigger star, Bhushan has wielded his personal relationship with Aamir and Salman Khan. While Aamir has decided to come on board as a producer, Bhushan's plan is to sign superstar Salman Khan to play his father's role in the movie. With the combined star-power of the Khans, Bhushan appears to be making good on his promise.
But, Aamir has some conditions for coming on board
Aamir Khan agreed to come on board to produce the film only if it focused more on the underdog story of Gulshan's life and not the underworld connections. Aamir's penchant for inspirational tales will probably gloss over the murkier side of showbiz and require major re-writing of the script. That said, to get Aamir to come on board, it's a small price to pay.
