5 times Ranveer Singh shocked us with his sartorial choices
Ranveer Singh is one such actor who doesn't shy away from experimenting with his roles. However, his attempts aren't limited to the big screen, and his bizarre fashion statements stand testimony to that. Ever since he has entered Bollywood, his trailblazing outfits have managed to stun us, which sometimes are a disaster as well. Here's a look at some of his weird style statements.
Ranveer's ponytail-blazer trail brought its fashion quotient rock bottom
At the IIFA Awards 2019 held recently, Ranveer might have won it big, but hit the wrong fashion note. The actor wore a grey Moschino suit paired with black high neck shoes. While this was fine till now, a red silk trail in the blazer was a major disappointment. Adding to the outfit's bizarreness was Ranveer's ponytail and the walking stick in his hand.
Ranveer looked like a giant condom in Shahid's pre-birthday bash
This was not however the first time that the actor surprised everyone with his choice of outfit. In 2017, Ranveer left the fashion world short of words when he wore an all-white hoodie-style outfit with dropped crotch pants for Shahid Kapoor's pre-birthday bash. Naturally, he was massively trolled for the same on social media, with many comparing him to a giant condom.
When his skirt during 'Bajirao Mastani' promotions raised eyebrows
Further, in 2015, during a promotional event of Bajirao Mastani, Ranveer wore a fully-flared brown skirt, which he paired with a deep brick-colored short kurta and brown footwear. He danced to the song Malhari at the event, and his skirt surely helped him then. The actor carried his outfit with a 'I don't give a damn attitude.' He surely doesn't fear the fashion police.
Ranveer wore Muppet Pyjamas, Sylvester fluffy slippers to GQ event
Again, in 2015, Ranveer attended the GQ Best Dressed Men Awards wearing Muppet pyjamas. What an irony! The Dil Dhadakne Do actor completed his look with a red-colored velvet bathrobe and Sylvester fluffy slippers. His white T-shirt read, "No F***s To give," probably a clear shove to those who would criticize his outfit. Negative comments followed as usual, and he remained unfazed, as usual.
His blue-furry jacket look got compared to a Disney character
When Gully Boy was premiered at Berlin Film Festival, it was a big moment for Ranveer. And though his performance was appreciated, his quirky attire grabbed more headlines. The actor wore a sky blue fur jacket with Gully Boy written on it, which he captioned as, "Gangsta of Love." Trolls instantly compared his look to James P. Sullivan, a Disney character from Monster Inc.
