5 times Alia Bhatt openly declared her love for Ranbir
Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are finally getting married between April 14 and 17 at Kapoor's ancestral property, the RK House in Chembur, said reports. The power couple of Bollywood has been dating since 2018, having met on the sets of their upcoming film, Brahmastra. So, before their wedding festivities start rolling, let's recall those times when Bhatt openly declared her love for Kapoor.
It all started way back in 2013
When Bhatt appeared on the fourth season of Koffee With Karan (2013-14) along with her Student of The Year co-stars Varun Dhawan and (then boyfriend) Sidharth Malhotra, she clearly said that she wouldn't mind a steamy scene with Kapoor. Bhatt also took his name when asked about the three Bollywood men she would love to have on her swayamvar (event for choosing one's groom).
Bhatt knew Kapoor was the man for her since long
In 2019, when Bhatt and Kapoor were already dating each other, she told a portal how she knew he was the man for her since the time they met. "Let me tell you he's not difficult. He's a supremely simple person. He's such a nice human being that I wish I was as good as him. As an actor, as a person, as everything."
Bhatt-Kapoor's PDA at Filmfare Awards turned heads
While accepting the Best Actress trophy at the 64th Filmfare Awards, an emotional Bhatt said on the stage, "Tonight's all about love, so last but not the least, my special one...Thank you for making my heart smile and my eyes shine...I love you," which left Kapoor blushing. When the latter won his for Sanju, he kissed Bhatt, who was seated beside him.
'Not going to lie,' Bhatt on her relationship
While promoting Gangubai Kathiawadi, Bhatt told a portal how she doesn't feel like hiding her relationship with Kapoor. "There's nothing to hide. There is a time in your life when you feel you shouldn't speak about it. I'm not going to lie that I am in a relationship. In terms of my age also, I've gone past the point where I would hide it."
'He's the cat, I am the dog'
In another interview, the Bollywood actor was asked to describe her bond with Kapoor. And, she said, "In our relationship, he's the cat, I'm the dog. Now you go figure. Sometimes I wake up in the morning with so much energy and Ranbir is like 'Easy, easy, calm down, breathe.' If there's been an exciting day, he's the one I'll start re-enacting it to."
Bhatt-Kapoor's first meeting was not in 2018
When Bhatt was all of nine, she had auditioned for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Black. During an exercise, she was asked to keep her head on his assistant director's shoulders, who turned out to be Kapoor! And, she had said, "No." Of course, she later relented.
