5 much-awaited movies that are hitting cinema halls in April
What's the story
March was a blockbuster with the release of two films that shattered every record: The Kashmir Files and RRR.
In April, the first film to get released is Dasvi, starring Abhishek Bachchan, Yami Gautam Dhar, and Nimrat Kaur. But it will see a direct digital premiere.
So, which movies are hitting the cinema halls this month?
Let's have a look at the top five.

'Beast': Hitting cinema halls on April 13
Thalapathy Vijay's Beast is one of the most anticipated films of 2022.
Written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Beast is set to release on April 13. In the film, the Tamil superstar plays a soldier who gets involved in a hostage situation.
Selvaraghavan, Pooja Hegde, Yogi Babu, and Redin Kingsley round up the cast. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music for the film.

'KGF: Chapter 2': Releasing on April 14
KGF: Chapter 2, which is the sequel to KGF: Chapter 1, one of the most successful films of 2018, will release in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi.
Led by Yash, the "Hindustani" film, as described by Sanjay Dutt, has the latter in the role of Adheera, the main antagonist.
Directed by Prashanth Neel, the film also features Srinidhi Shetty and Raveena Tandon.
#3
'Jersey': Competing against 'Beast' and KGF 2'
Another April 14 outing, Jersey, has Shahid Kapoor in the lead.
The sports drama—which had been in making for long—faced numerous release postponements, too, courtesy of COVID-19 and other factors.
But now it is finally getting a premiere.
Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, Jersey is a remake of the hit Telugu venture by the same name led by Nani.
Mrunal Thakur is the female lead.

'Runway 34': Theatrical premiere on April 29
Runway 34 sits in fourth place.
It is Bollywood star Ajay Devgn's third directorial and features him as Captain Vikrant Khanna, a charismatic and righteous pilot.
He's joined by Rakul Preet Singh and Amitabh Bachchan in this aviation thriller.
Boman Irani is most likely playing a negative role in Runway 34. The film is based on a real incident aboard a 2015 Doha-Kochi flight.

'Heropanti 2': Up against 'Runway 34'
Runway 34 will face tough competition from Heropanti 2, or will it be the other way round?
Led by Tiger Shroff, Heropanti 2 is the sequel to his debut film, Heropanti (2014).
The film has Nawazuddin Siddiqui as Laila, a magician who loves to kill and is the kingpin of cyberworld crimes. Only Shroff's Babloo can bring him down.
Heropanti 2 co-stars Tara Sutaria.
