5 recently-released films that are hitting OTT in March
On Wednesday, Amazon Prime Video announced that Denis Villeneuve's Dune will start streaming on its platform from March 25. Released in October last year, the sci-fi film will be available in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam on the OTT giant. Apart from Dune, there are several other recently-released films that have got a streaming partner and date. Here are the top five.
'Spider-Man: No Way Home': On BookMyShow's streamer from this month
Spider-Man: No Way Home is the first on this list. The Tom Holland-starrer will be available on BookMyShow's streaming service, BookMyShow Stream, on a video-on-demand service. The sixth highest-grossing movie of all time will be available for streaming from March 23 and its pre-booking has already begun. You can watch the Jon Watts-directed Hollywood film in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
'FIR': To stream on three platforms from March 12
Next up, we have FIR. The Tamil film, starring young actor Vishnu Vishal in the lead, will be available on three streaming platforms: Simply South, US-based Tentkotta, and Amazon Prime Video. It will hit all three on the same day, that is March 12. FIR was released in theaters on February 11 to a thumping reception from viewers and a positive response from critics.
'Super Sharanya': Will hit ZEE5 on March 11
Super Sharanya is in third place. The Malayalam film is slated to hit ZEE5 on Friday, that is March 11. Directed, written, and co-produced by Girish AD, the coming-of-age drama had released theatrically on January 7 to rave reviews from both viewers and critics. Anaswara Rajan, Mamitha Baiju, Arjun Ashokan, and Naslen K Gafoor form the principal cast of the blockbuster.
'Rowdy Boys': To stream on ZEE5 from March 11
Rowdy Boys is the next one. The Telugu film, which launched producer Dil Raju's nephew Ashish Reddy, hit the big screens in January and had an impressive run. Now, the film is all set to get its digital premiere on the OTT platform ZEE5 from March 11. Co-starring Anupama Parameswaran, Karthik Rathnam, and Komalee Prasad, Rowdy Boys has been helmed by Sree Harsha Konuganti.
'83': Netflix, Disney+ Hotstar have reportedly bagged streaming rights
Bollywood film 83 rounds up this list. Reports say that both Netflix and Disney+ Hotstar have bagged its streaming rights. While the Hindi version will be streamed on Netflix, the Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam editions will release on Disney+ Hotstar this month-end. Interestingly, the Ranveer Singh-starrer will hit TV first and have its premiere on March 20 on Star Gold at 8:00 pm.
