Iconic K-pop group 2NE1 celebrates 15th anniversary with reunion photoshoot
The renowned South Korean girl group, 2NE1, marked their 15th anniversary with a special reunion photoshoot. The four members shared images from the event on their individual Instagram accounts on Friday (KST). CL, the group's leader, used this occasion to reflect on their journey in the K-pop industry and expressed her gratitude toward fans for their unwavering support.
CL reflected on 2NE1's journey and thanked fans
CL took to Instagram to share her thoughts on the group's milestone. "It's been a while. Celebrating our 15th anniversary today May 17," she wrote, expressing her hope for creating more memories with 2NE1 and their supporters. She also shared her experience of reuniting with her bandmates for the photoshoot, stating, "Together, I stood in front of the camera with 2NE1 for the first time in a long time."

CL further described 2NE1 as her home that allowed her to express herself freely and connect with people. "Hope today 2NE1 reminds you to feel your light," she added. Meanwhile, other members of the group, Dara, Minzy, and Bom also posted their photos from the reunion photoshoot on social media with captions wishing BLACKJACKs a happy 15th anniversary.
2NE1's journey: From debut to disbandment and reunion
The girl group, known for hit songs like Fire, I Don't Care, Lonely, Ugly, and Come Back Home, debuted in 2009. Their agency, YG Entertainment announced Minzy's departure in April 2016 and later confirmed the group was parting ways later that year. Their last reunion before the anniversary celebration was on the Coachella stage in April 2022 where they performed their hit song I Am The Best, seven years after their disbandment.
