'2.0' makers eyeing Diwali release; Aamir refuses to move 'TOH'
The latest development regarding the release of '2.0' has brought with it a possibility of a mega clash at the box office. As per a media report, the makers of the Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer are looking to release their film during the Diwali period, which has already been booked by Aamir Khan's 'Thugs Of Hindostan.' Here's more on the clash.
'2.0' makers approached Aamir to find a solution
The media report further states that the producers of '2.0' went up to Aamir to request him to move his film from Diwali. However, Aamir did not like the idea much and refused to do so. Later, when Rajinikanth intervened, the talks between both the parties resumed.
Here's what a leading website reported
"The makers want to release '2.0' during Diwali, so they tried to discuss things with Aamir who said a resounding no when they first approached him. The actor feels Diwali is the perfect time to release 'Thugs' and hence, is holding on to the date."
'2.0' has been postponed thrice
Shankar's '2.0' was originally slated to release on Diwali 2017 but was pushed to Republic Day 2018. It was again delayed by 2 months to come out in April but now has further been postponed. Fans have been keenly awaiting the film for a while now and we hope it sees the light of the day soon.
