'12th Fail' to Kangana's 'Tejas': Movies hitting theaters this Friday
Each week brings numerous options to flock to the theaters and soak yourself in the magic of the movies. Fortunately, this Friday, there are numerous choices across genres and languages, and from a slow-burn social drama to a three-hour-long epic based on a true story, there is something for everyone. Check out the major upcoming films releasing in theaters on Friday (October 27).
'12th Fail'
Vidhu Vinod Chopra's 12th Fail stars Vikrant Massey as Manoj, a man who dreams of becoming an IPS officer despite failing his Class-12 exams. The film exacts its story from Anurag Pathak's namesake bestselling novel. Apart from Massey, Anant Vijay Joshi, Anshumaan Pushkar, Harish Khanna, and Priyanshu Chatterjee will also be seen in this film revolving around the cutthroat competition in Indian government exams.
'Tejas'
Kangana Ranaut's long-delayed aerial action drama Tejas will also grace theaters on Friday. Notably, the Indian Air Force (IAF) scripted history in 2016 by allowing women to serve in combat roles, and Tejas will be set in this period. It centers around a courageous female fighter pilot, Tejas Gill, though it is not a biopic. The film has been directed by Sarvesh Mewara.
'Killers of the Flower Moon'
Filmmaking legend Martin Scorsese's Killers of the Flower Moon was released in the United States last week. It will be released in India this Friday. Starring Scorsese's frequent collaborator Leonardo DiCaprio, Lily Gladstone, Jesse Plemons, and Robert De Niro, the over three-hour-long epic is based on David Grann's book Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI (2017).
'Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video'
The crime thriller drama Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video, directed by Mikhil Musale and produced by Dinesh Vijan (Maddock Films), is another option for cinemagoers to watch on Friday. The mystery film stars Radhika Madan, Nimrat Kaur, Soham Majumdar, Sumeet Vyas, Bhagyashree, and Subodh Bhave. It reportedly revolves around the suicide of Sajini (Madan) after a video of her does rounds on the internet.
