Grand opening for 11th Global Film Festival Noida on Day-2
The 11th Global Film Festival, being held at Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT), Noida Film City is in its second day and has seen the participation of 45 countries. The festival, which required 12 months of preparation by 300 staffers, is being conducted in 9 locations and has seen a footfall of around 54,000, earning the appreciation of ambassadors of several countries.
Ambassador of Romania to India appreciated the combination in festival
"Workshops, seminars, interactions, talks, film releases, screenings, poster releases, symposiums, competitions, exhibitions, and entertainment all at one place was the best combination ever seen," said Radu Octavian Dobre, Ambassador of Romania to India, on the second day opening of the festival. Ambassador of Slovenia to India Jozef Drofenik joined him saying he "learned that four new film releases have taken place in this festival."
Women Empowerment program caught the eye of many working women
The festival also had a Women Empowerment Program that attracted many working ladies, who were also honored with life-membership of World Peace Development and Research Foundation of Marwah Studios, presented by the Ambassadors and High-Commissioners. It all happened after a seminar on 'Women In Cinema'.
Posters, paintings, news bulletin released by guests
"I'm lucky to release my women-oriented film 'Ahilya' today with the first screening," said Raju Parsekar, film director. Aparna Agarwal of International Women's Film Forum, Gangeshwar Lal Srivastava, General Secretary, FSSAMU, and Shridhar Chari, Producer, also spoke on the occasion. Apart from that, paintings, news bulletins, posters made by students of various media schools were also released by the guests at a separate stage.
Thanking all, AAFT president announces another film festival next year
The festival also saw deals getting signed, with FWICE (Federation of Western India Cine Employees) president announcing that it will open an office at "Marwah Studios Complex under the supervision of Sandeep Marwah (President, AAFT)." Sandeep, expressing gratitude, said, "ICMEI (International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry) in association with International Film And Television Club will present another Global Film Festival next year."
