Delhi: Forget women, even female puppies are not safe here!
In a very disturbing incident, a female puppy has bled to death after being raped by a cab driver in Delhi's Naraina locality. According to the post-mortem report, the puppy named Jenney died due to "excessive bleeding" from genitals and shock. Delhi: L-G Anil Baijal-AAP war over proposed Mohalla clinics
The war of words between Delhi Lieutenant-Governor Anil Baijal and Aam Aadmi Party MLAs intensified after their meeting to discuss the Kejriwal government's project to build 1,000 Mohalla clinics in New Delhi. Baijal accused the MLAs of "storming Raj Niwas and laying siege" to his office "displaying conduct unbecoming of responsible elected representatives." The project is still pending owing to the non-availability of land.
Girl gang-raped by friend and his companions
A 15-year-old girl from Delhi's Sarai Rohilla was allegedly gang-raped by her friend and two of his friends. Her friend called the girl to a secluded place saying he wants her to meet a girl whom he liked. However, after reaching there, she was raped by him and two others whom she knew. One of them was arrested while the other two were identified.
Delhi CM Kejriwal inaugurated over 1200 community toilets
Stepping up efforts to make Delhi open-defecation free, the AAP Government inaugurated 1,206 more community toilets in 36 jhuggi-jhopri clusters in the capital. Arvind Kejriwal-led Government built nearly 11,800 toilets between 14 Feb'15 and 31 Jul'17, and plans to construct another 7,000 by Dec'17. CM Kejriwal said, "By March (2018), I believe no one in Delhi will have to resort to open defecation."
Gurugram: 12-year-old raped by her own father for seven years
A shocking incident came to light when a 12-year-old Gurugram schoolgirl revealed her father has been raping her for the past seven years. An NGO head Pratibha Deepak Maheshwari said the victim told her teachers about the matter after being counseled about good and bad touch. A case of rape against the accused was registered at Bajghera with the help of Maheshwari.
Police foil abduction bid; rescue victim within one hour
23-year-old businessman Nitish Arora of Delhi's Pitampura was kidnapped by two men near GT Karnal Road when he was returning from his factory. However, Arora was talking to a friend on phone who informed the police about the incident. Within an hour of receiving the complaint, the police traced them and rescued Arora after a shootout with the kidnappers, who have been arrested.
Gurugram: 25 booked for manhandling policemen
Twenty-five locals of Gurugram's Basai village were booked for snatching a police vehicle's key, manhandling policemen and creating violence near Basai bus stand; the main accused were Bobby Kataria and Munna. The case is related to Kataria's complaint that a minor girl was kidnapped, but post-investigation the police found it was a matter of a family fight and not abduction, agitating the locals.
