Greater Noida's Gautam Budh Nagar police to get 41 superbikes
Greater Noida's Gautam Budh Nagar area police will soon be receiving 41 superbikes that are also known as police response vehicles (PRVs). According to a report, the superbikes will have state-of-the-art gadgets loaded in them. These bikes will mainly be introduced to reduce the response time to emergency situations. They will lessen the average response time of PRVs from 15 minutes to 12 minutes.
The bikes were launched by UP CM Yogi Adityanath
The announcement was made by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at an event in Lucknow. CM Adityanath launched 100 new bikes and said that a total of 1,600 PRVs will be provided to different police stations across the state. These bikes will especially be helpful for police to respond to calls from rural and congested urban areas where road connectivity is poor.
Bikes will have MDT for directives by the control room
The bikes will be installed with mobile data terminals for directives to be provided by the control room. They will have GPS devices, LED lights, sirens, crime scene kits, utility boxes, helmets with mic, torches, mobile charging points and bottle holders. Out of 1,600 bikes to be provided, 1,500 will be used while 100 vehicles will be kept in reserve at different police stations.
Out of 41 superbikes, 38 will be active
The bikes will be ridden by a constable and a home guard they will work in three shifts on a rotational basis. Out of the 41 allotted bikes allotted to the Gautam Budh Nagar police, 38 will be active and three will be kept in reserve. It currently has 47 PRVs and its response time is around 12 minutes and 38 seconds.
