No heatwave in Delhi until May 30, predicts IMD
A fresh spell of rainfall, along with thunderstorms and gusty winds, lashed Delhi and its neighboring areas on Thursday night, giving relief from the scorching heat. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that the national capital would witness similar conditions, such as light rain, for the next two to three days. Moreover, no heatwave is expected until Tuesday (May 30).
Delhi's maximum temperature would hover around 36 degrees Celsius
The weather department further said the heatwave conditions have been affected due to the influence of the western disturbance active over the western Himalayan region. Furthermore, the maximum and minimum temperatures in Delhi would hover around 36 degrees Celsius and 21 degrees Celsius, respectively, till Tuesday. Meanwhile, parts of Bihar, Haryana, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh also experienced light rainfall on Thursday.
