Artists to portray Delhi's cultural character through their arts
A new festival is going to alive the cultural character of Delhi, by portraying the city through the eye of an artist. Named as "Dilli Nayi Purani - Kalakar Ki Nazar Se", the festival will be organized by Kaladrishti and NDMC. It will showcase the co-existence of past and present of Delhi, offering a kaleidoscopic view of capital from 7 March at Palika Park.
What will you find at the festival?
At the festival, one would find hand-painted film hoardings giving a trip down the memory lane, graffiti on walls, colonial-era sketches of the city, vintage images from the time bygone. Exhibits will also include installations and sculptures, along with a special section dedicated to children, as well as decorative art on the human body -- body painting, nail art, hair art et al.

"We have the broken walls of the Purana Kila alongside the Trade Fair Authority on one side and Delhi Geological Garden on the other. The high rise buildings of Connaught Place co-exist with the Agrasen ki Baoli in our arts," the organizers said.
