The Delhi Police has arrested Mohammad Sameer alias Maya and his associate Bilal Gani alias Mallu—both recently turned 18—for allegedly murdering Amazon manager Harpreet Gill (36) in Delhi's Bhajanpura. The accused allegedly shot Gill dead after road rage triggered a face-off in a narrow lane. Three of the suspects' accomplices are on the run. The police said Sameer runs a gang with over a dozen members and was involved in at least four murders as a juvenile.

He reportedly worked at a welding shop after being released from a juvenile observation home. The police said that he was involved in a murder and robbery case in Bhajanpura last year. Meanwhile, Sameer has become the center of news reports as tales of his group reportedly terrorizing Northeast Delhi surface.
