Delhi: 30-year-old man shot dead with 15 bullets, in Rohini
In an unfortunate incident, a man was reportedly shot dead by unknown assailants in broad daylight in Delhi's Rohini area on Monday. The 30-year-old man was having food at a roadside eatery in Prashant Vihar when three men came in a car and shot at least 15 bullets at him before fleeing from the spot. The man was declared brought dead at the hospital.
Rushed to hospital, declared brought dead
The three accused pumped at least 15 bullets at the man causing him injuries in his head, face, chest, and abdomen. Even after being rushed to a nearby hospital post the incident, the victim Ravi Bhardwaj was declared brought dead on arrival. Rohini DCP Rajneesh Gupta said, "He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds."
Police suspect involvement of most-wanted criminal Gogi and men
The three men who shot at Bhardwaj are suspected to be associates of Delhi's most wanted criminal Gogi alias Jitender. The police are of the suspicion about Gogi's involvement based on the way Bhardwaj was shot dead. A police source said, "Gogi generally guns down his targets by pumping bullets on their face. Bhardwaj too sustained bullet injuries on his face."
Investigation reveals Bhardwaj to be former associate of gangster Gogi
According to investigation reports, it has been revealed that the victim, a resident of Alipur was also an associate of the most-wanted gangster in the past. Bhardwaj was involved in various criminal cases including murder. In 2014, Bhardwaj was arrested by the Delhi Police Special Cell and was later bailed out in 2015.
