Gurugram man raped 8-year-old repeatedly after wife died, arrested: Police
A man has been arrested in Gurugram for allegedly raping his eight-year-old daughter repeatedly over several months, police said yesterday. The man was arrested after neighbors found out about the horror from the girl, who studies in class four, police said. The girl wasn't behaving normally over the past few days, and told the truth to neighbors when asked about it, they said.
Girl told the neighbors about the sexual exploitation, said police
ACP (crime) Shamsher Singh said that when the girl started behaving oddly, the neighbors started asking her about it. That's when she told them about the sexual exploitation. Following that, they informed police, he said. "The girl used to stay with her father in Pataudi area. After her mother died, her father repeatedly sexually assaulted her over the last couple of months," he added.
Girl has been sent to children observation center for counseling
"The girl said that she was sexually exploited almost every night after her father got drunk. Last week, the accused raped her twice," Singh said. The girl has been rescued and sent to children observation center for counseling, said the police.
