Gurugram: Man kills wife on Karva Chauth; held for murder
What's the story
A Gurugram man allegedly killed his wife on Karva Chauth night, by pushing her off the balcony of their eighth floor flat in Ansal Valley View society on the Gurugram-Faridabad road.
Vikram Chauhan, a senior executive in a private firm, was charged on Sunday for murdering his wife, Deepika.
The couple had two children and were married since 2013.

Was Vikram having an extra marital affair?
If the victim's father, Harikishan Ahuja is to be believed, Vikram was having an affair with a married woman, who lived in the same society.
This women, often, visited the couple's apartment, leading to such quarrels.
Deepika, who was an employee of Indian Bank, would be physically assaulted by Vikram, whenever she raised questions about his affair, said Ahuja in his complaint.

According to Ahuja, the couple was fighting over Vikram's alleged affair with a neighbor, when he lost his cool and pushed Deepika from the balcony of their flat.
Anuj Mishra, President of Ansal Valley View RWA, said that he, along with the security, reached the spot after hearing the sound of a loud thud.
They found Deepika lying in blood.

The couple fell in love and married in 2013; they had a four-year-old daughter and a six-month-old son. Deepika's father has pressed charges of murder against Vikram for killing his daughter over an extra-marital affair; he has been booked under IPC Section 302 (murder).
