Missing JNU PhD scholar, suspected kidnapped, found safe
A 26-year-old JNU student who had gone missing has been found five days later. "She says she had gone on her own (will) and that she is fine," said Delhi Police DCP Milind Dombre. Pooja Kasana was pursuing an Integrated MPhil and PhD course at the varsity and had last contacted her parents on March 10. Her kin believed she had been abducted.

On March 11, Kasana's parents found her phone switched off and lodged a missing complaint with Vasant Kunj Police. Her brother then went to the Shipra Girls' Hostel located inside the campus, where she used to stay. But he found the door of her room locked from outside. The complaint was converted to FIR and a case registered under IPC Section 365.
At least two JNU students have gone missing recently
The JNU administration is yet to react on the incident. In the recent past, two more cases of students gone missing have rattled the university. Mukul Jain, pursuing life sciences, has been missing since January 8. Cops suspect he was having trouble with a woman friend. Then there's the sensational Najeeb Ahmed case. Ahmed, an MSc Biotechnology student, has been untraceable since October'16.
