Jailed AAP leader Satyendar Jain taken to Safdarjung Hospital
Former Delhi cabinet minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Satyendar Jain, who is jailed in an alleged money laundering case, was taken to Safdarjung Hospital on Monday after he complained about his deteriorating health. Last week, Jain's counsel told the Supreme Court that Jain lost 35 kg in jail and has virtually become a skeleton as he is suffering from several ailments.

Jain suffering from spinal problems: Jail officials
Jain is reportedly suffering from spinal problems and was taken to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital in west Delhi last week, a senior official from Tihar Jail, where Jain is lodged, said. At the hospital, Jain requested a second opinion regarding his problem, following which the doctor referred him to Safdarjung Hospital. The officials were consulting doctors to understand the reason behind Jain's weight loss.
People witnessing BJP's injustices: Kejriwal
Praying for Jain's recovery, AAP supremo and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said god will never forgive those who mete out such injustices to Jain. He said the people of the country are witnessing the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) hubris and tyranny. Calling himself a disciple of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh, he said god and the people are with the AAP in its struggle.
Jain's stay in jail has attracted several controversies
Earlier, Jain requested a jail superintendent to shift two inmates to his cell, claiming that a doctor recommended more social interactions to cure his depression and loneliness. His stay in jail has been controversial with the BJP alleging that he was leading a luxurious life there illegally. The AAP, however, maintained that the BJP framed Jain to weaken the AAP.
