Police provide details on student's suicide case
It is learned that the police received information about the incident from the Pushpanjali Hospital, where the 23-year-old was brought dead. Speaking to the Times of India, a police official revealed, "Crime and forensics team was dispatched to the spot for inspection but found nothing suspicious." The police also revealed that Panav used a scarf to hang himself from the weight-lifting rod.

While confirming that no suicide note was recovered, the police said that the father of the student revealed that his son had been suffering from depression and stress over the last few months. 3rd IIT-Delhi student death in 2023

They include 24 students from various National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and four students from the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs).
Previous 2 suicides at IIT-Delhi
In September, a 21-year-old student who was pursuing a B-Tech in Mathematics and Computing (session 2019-2023) hung himself to death due to pressure at IIT-Delhi's Vindhyachal Hostel. Before that, a similar incident was reported in July, when a 20-year-old also committed suicide by hanging inside his room using a nylon rope at the institution's Udaigiri Hostel.
