    Details

Woman lived with her three daughters

Shahdara DCP Prasad said Urmila Jindal's husband had died a few years ago.

She was living with her three daughters; two of them were not married while the other was a widow.

The family of four used to survive on money they were earning by letting out some properties they owned.

They were found dead at house 1/561 on GT Road.

    Information

Urmila's family shared property with others

According to DCP Nupur Prasad, Urmila Jindal's family and six others shared the property. Each of the seven families carved out space for themselves and built a house there. A security guard was hired collectively by the seven families.

    Multiple Teams

No evidence of forced entry found

The murders came to light at around 7:15 am today morning. According to police, it appeared that all five persons were stabbed to death with a knife.

Police have reportedly formed several teams to identify and nab the killer(s).

However, the cops are so far clueless about the murderer(s). They are also probing the property angle, among many other motives behind the killings.

    Information

    Bodies have multiple stab wounds

The police said that all four women were found dead with their neck slit at their residence in the morning. Their bodies also had multiple stab wounds. Cops are suspecting that someone known to the women might have killed them.

    Initial Probe

Police suspect property dispute could have led to murders

The initial investigation by DCP Prasad-led police team suggested a property dispute was behind the brutal murders.

Crime and forensic teams rushed to the spot to collect evidence.

Cops said Urmila's family owned Jindal Oil Mill and had recently sold a plot worth crores, which could have resulted in a dispute.

Police said that all possible angles in the case are being probed.
