Delhi: Drunk woman shoots mother, brother after argument
A drunk woman allegedly shot her mother and brother in their South Delhi residence following an argument late at night on Thursday. Both were rushed to the AIIMS Trauma Center. They are undergoing treatment but have been declared out of danger. Meanwhile, Sangeeta, the accused, a resident of Defence Colony, has been detained. Her licensed pistol has been seized.
The family reportedly had a property dispute
Police received a PCR call at 12:43am yesterday regarding gunshot injuries to two people. When they reached the spot, her brother Harsaran said Sangeeta had shot them. Neighbors reported hearing three gunshots in quick succession. Sangeeta was apparently so drunk she could barely walk. She has now been charged with attempted murder. The family was reportedly arguing over property.
