Delhi: Student thrashed by teacher for not bringing book, hospitalized
In a shocking development in Delhi, a sixth-grade student was allegedly beaten up by his teacher for not bringing his Hindi book to school. According to India Today, the teacher beat the student so badly that he had to be rushed straight to a hospital, and his condition is said to be deteriorating. A case has been registered against the teacher.

Identified as Arbaz, the victim student is reportedly 11 years old and is currently undergoing treatment at the Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital following the incident. The victim's father, Mohammed Ramjani, claims that his son was beaten by the teacher, but he lodged a complaint with the Delhi Police on August 6 after his son's health worsened.

As per the complaint by Ramjani, the accused teacher allegedly asked Arbaz about the Hindi book, to which he admitted that he had not carried it to school that day. When the victim got up from his seat to exit the classroom, the accused teacher, Sadul Hasan, blocked his way, slapped him, and even choked the student's neck.
My son isn't in condition to give statement: Vicitim's father
Speaking to the news outlet India Today, the victim boy's father said, "My son Arbaz is not even in a condition to give a statement, so legal action must be taken by filing a complaint against Sadul Hasan, the teacher who slapped my son." The incident took place in the national capital's Dayalpur Police Station area, and a probe is underway.
Similar thrashing incident from Kerala
In a similar incident in Kerala, a police complaint was lodged against a school teacher for brutally thrashing a boy in Kozhikode's Perambra. According to the news outlet Mathrubhumi, the victim boy is a seventh-grade student at Vadakkumbad UP School, and he was thrashed by his teacher Pranav on Monday for making bad remarks in the classroom.
