Delhi Police takes senior citizens for heritage tour
As a part of the Delhi Police Week celebrations of this year, the force took a group of 60 senior citizens from the South-East district of Delhi for a heritage tour of the city on Sunday. The group of elderly people was escorted by the beat officers of the force. The Delhi Police week started from February 16 and will continue till February 22.
Senior citizens were first taken to the DCP South-East office
The senior citizens were first taken to the DCP South-East office and before moving on to a visit to Humayun's Tomb where they were provided with a guide and then to Nizammuddin, in two buses. The elderly people were invited by the South-East district police for the Sunday Heritage Tour. The beat officers also discussed various safety measures with them during the tour.
After tour, Senior citizens were treated with lunch
DCP (South-East) Chinmoy Biswal said, "Participants were accompanied by ACP (Sarita Vihar) Dhal Singh. Before the tour, we discussed their views and visions on safety and security of senior citizens." After the tour to the heritage sites, the senior citizens were later taken for lunch and then were dropped off at their homes by beat officers.
