Delhi: Police bust gay sextortion rackets, arrest 4 suspects
The Delhi Police on Friday busted two gay sextortion rackets active in South East Delhi and arrested four people who allegedly used to trap victims on social media, reported ANI. District Commissioner of Police (South East) Rajesh Deo said the accused used the LGBTQ+ dating application "Grindr" to trap the victims. The police recovered two mobile phones from the possession of the suspects.
Accused made nude videos of victims
According to the police, the accused made fake profiles on the app and lured victims to get involved in sexual activities. They allegedly made nude videos of the victims in objectionable scenarios and threatened to circulate them on the internet. The victims surrendered to the illegal demands and transferred the extorted money to culprits' accounts, said the police.
