Delhi murder: Sahil addicted to charas and ganja, reveals police
According to sources close to the Delhi Police, the main accused in the bone-chilling murder of 16-year-old Sakshi in Delhi's Shahbad Dairy area, was addicted to drugs like ganja and charas. A friend reportedly told the police that the accused, identified as 20-year-old Sahil, liked smoking marijuana in the hookah and used to consume alcohol before going on motorbike rides.
Sahil drank liquor on day of incident: Report
"In fact, Sahil said that on the day of the incident, he began drinking liquor around noon with just one thing on his mind — revenge," according to the Times of India. A police officer also revealed that Sahil used to pick fights, and his behavior was a major reason behind his family moving to northwest Delhi's Jain Colony two years back.

In addition, the Delhi Police disclosed that Sahil told them during questioning that he recently visited Haridwar with friends and posed for a photograph with a rudraksha mala. The police also questioned some women who follow Sahil on Instagram to determine if he harassed other women, but have not yet received any complaints. Notably, the knife used to stab Sakshi was brought from Haridwar.
Sahil set to undergo psychoanalysis test
In the meantime, the police may administer a psychoanalysis or psycho assessment test to the accused, who reportedly showed no remorse during interrogation. As per First Post, the test is set to last for approximately three hours and will help the police assess the mental state of the 20-year-old accused.

The victim's father, in an FIR filed with the police, revealed that his "daughter often mentioned Sahil in front of us, but we would tell her that she is still young and her priority should be education." "Whenever we tried to explain this to her, she would get angry and go to her friend Neetu's," India Today quoted Sakshi's father as saying.
Bone-chilling details of how Sahil killed Sakshi
On Sunday, the accused reportedly waited in the lane where one of the 16-year-old victim's friends lived, as per the police. The accused then allegedly approached Sakshi as she emerged from a public toilet and stabbed her with a knife numerous times before battering her with a stone slab. The cops also confirmed that the accused planned the murder for three days.
