Few weeks ago, Ranjan cornered Puneet and demanded his money
Ranjan, who was a driver, had given the money to Puneet about two months ago. They both stayed in the same locality and sniffed drugs together, cops said. Few weeks back, Ranjan started asking for his money, but Puneet started avoiding him completely. One day, he cornered Puneet near his house and started demanding the Rs. 2,000; Puneet claimed it was Rs. 1,000.
Post fight, Puneet stabbed Ranjan repeatedly using button-operated knife
The fight soon took a violent turn, and both got physical. Then Ranjan's father intervened and asked Puneet to return whatever money he could. On Wednesday, their mutual friend Aakash told Ranjan to meet Puneet at the park in the morning. There too, the duo fought, but this time Puneet was armed with a button-operated knife, with which he charged at Ranjan.
