Delhiite's body exhumed after 18-days as parents discover wife's affair
A man in Delhi died 18 days ago due to what his family thought was a paralytic attack. But later, they found suspicious items: his wife's "fake" driving license and possibly incriminating recordings on his phone. They now suspect her and her lover, the husband's cousin, to have killed him. His decomposed body was dug up from a grave in Mangolpuri yesterday.
Wife's "fake" driving license had another man's name, not husband's
On March 6, the victim had a paralytic attack in the afternoon and died on March 9. Two weeks later, while cleaning his home, his parents found his mobile phone and his wife's "fake" driving license, which had their nephew's name, not their son's. Suspicious, they checked the phone and discovered their son had confronted her about her affair hours before his attack.
Victim confronted wife about affair hours before paralytic attack
"My son had woken up around 2 am to find his wife talking to someone. He confronted her and beat her up," the father said. She then called up her lover, their nephew, with their son's phone. "My son also called up his in-laws and told them about the affair." They have now submitted the recordings to police.
'Doctors claim excessive drug use, but son never did drugs'
"The doctors said he died of excessive drug use, but I am confident he never consumed drugs," the father said. After finding the phone and the license, he filed a police complaint, alleging the wife and her lover had injected his son with fatal substances.
Dead man's family claims yet to be verified: DCP
By the order of sub-divisional magistrate, the decomposed body was dug up and FIR will be registered post autopsy. "The dead man's family has submitted certain evidence to support their claims, but they are a subject of verification," said Rajneesh Gupta, DCP (Rohini). The deceased, a furniture dealer, got married in 2007 and stayed with his wife and two kids in Begumpur.
