Delhi: Father seeks police protection from his own alcoholic son
What's the story
66-year-old Rajvir Sharma filed a plea in Delhi HC seeking police protection from his 22-year-old alcoholic son so that he and his wife can live in peace with self-respect.
He said his son beats and kicks him and uses abusive language if he refuses to give money.
Listing the matter for 12 September, the court directed the son to appear on that day.

Son makes elderly parents' lives miserable
Justice Sangita Dhingra Sehgal directed a Station House Officer of a Delhi Police station to file status report regarding the allegations.
Sharma sought the court's direction to Delhi Police to take action against their son.
He filed complaint with Vijay Vihar police on 2 August and called a PCR on 17 August, but the police didn't take any action.

Petitioner works as a laborer in old age
Representing Sharma, advocate Amit Kumar submitted in the HC his 66-year-old client is being harassed, beaten, and threatened by his son, who has demanded "unreasonable expenses" like for liquor.
The plea stated, "The petitioner has to work as a laborer in this old age, in a private company at Rithala, New Delhi, in order to maintain himself as well as his 65-year-old wife."
