Delhi government launches 'one stop app' for daily commuters
Just recently, the Delhi government launched a common mobility app, One Delhi, to ease the daily travel of local commuters. The app will provide users with real-time information of metros and buses. The government had launched a similar app, PoochhO, back in 2014 and says One Delhi is its upgraded version. The app is expected to become a one-stop destination for all commuting needs.
Vision is to make public transport preferred mode: Gahlot
Kailash Gahlot, Delhi's Transport Minister said, "Our vision is to make public transport the preferred mode of transport. Now, our citizens can easily learn about bus routes, timings and real-time arrival data of buses rather than waiting for hours." The app also has navigation features, and a feedback option, where commuters can share their grievances. According to its description on Google Play, the app has route visualizer and can auto-detect nearest bus stops, provide ETA of orange buses, etc. Currently, the app is available only on Android and will soon be available on iOS. The app also doesn't have DTC buses' data yet.
