Delhi: Enjoy cool weather today, dry days from tomorrow
Delhi has been receiving thunderstorms and pre-monsoon activities since the past few days. Some parts of Delhi witnessed gusty winds and rain today afternoon as well. Isolated dust storm, strong winds can be expected during evening hours in patchy locations of the city. However, from tomorrow, the pre-monsoon activities will reduce, turning the weather dry and hot, predicts Skymet.
'Sunday could also see thundery development'
"These conditions are likely to continue over the next two days. Light rain and gusty winds are expected on Saturday. Sunday could also see thundery development. However, the maximum temperature is likely to hover around 40-41 degrees Celsius," said a MET official.
Even thunderstorms couldn't alter Delhi's high temperature
Presence of a western disturbance over J&K and Pakistan has induced cyclonic circulation over North Rajasthan. This caused the pre-monsoon activities in the national capital since the past few days. However, from tomorrow, these disturbances across the Western Himalayan region will be replaced by warm easterlies, which would dry up the weather. Interestingly, the temperature remained at 40degrees yesterday, even with thunderstorm activities.
