Delhi AAP MLA in trouble for threatening, abusing woman
Even as the supposed assault on chief secretary Anshu Prakash at Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's house is investigated, another case of bad behavior by an AAP MLA has cropped up. A case has been lodged against Badarpur MLA Narayan Dutt Sharma for apparently threatening and abusing a woman working on a project of Integrated Child Development Services, under Department of Women and Child Development.
Dutt called the woman up and abused her for inefficiency
Cops said that the abuse took place almost a fortnight ago when Dutt had called her up and allegedly started abusing her for inefficient work. The lady lodged a complaint last week and gave her statement in front of a magistrate on Monday, after which a case was registered under IPC sections 506 and 509. Dutt would be called for interrogation soon, cops said.
Allegations are baseless, she started a fight first: MLA
Meanwhile, Dutt said that he had called her up after receiving several complaints against her. She started to fight after some time and later accused him of misbehaving with her, he said. He further claimed that the allegations are baseless and motivated and that he would present his version in front of cops and court, when needed.
SDMC had alleged he assaulted their engineer during demolition drive
Dutt has been booked for assault earlier as well. Last year in October, SDMC had alleged that he roughed up their engineer and 10-12 laborers for carrying out a demolition drive in Hari Nagar.
