Delhi: Man allegedly kills neighbor with digging fork following argument
A 23-year-old man was beaten to death with a digging fork allegedly by his neighbor after a fight broke out between them on Thursday. The deceased was identified as Gautam Kumar. The fight broke out between the two at around 8 pm when Indrajeet Mishra, a security guard, visited his sister's house in Rana Park area. There he met Gautam, his brother-in-law's brother.
Man's vehicle hits Gautam's two-wheeler, which ensues fight
Mishra told police that both of them were talking on the roadside when Dhan Kumar alias Sanjay (29), a laborer and a resident of the same locality, came there in mini-truck. Kumar hit Gautam's two-wheeler, which was parked nearby, following which an argument broke out between Gautam and Kumar. Before Gautam could seek help, Kumar allegedly picked up a digging fork and attacked him.
Accused arrested the same night, weapon recovered as well
Gautam sustained injuries on his head and he was taken to Baba Sahib Ambedkar hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. A case has been registered and the accused was arrested the same night, DSP (outer north) Gaurav Sharma said, adding the weapon used for the commission of the crime was also recovered. Police said neither Kumar nor Gautam were drunk during the argument.
