Delhi: Man stabbed to death. Reason is a mere shoulder-brush!
A 20-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death in Delhi by three-four unidentified men, after his shoulder brushed past one of the accused. The deceased was identified as Ravi, a resident of Jalalpur in Uttar Pradesh, police said yesterday. According to them, the incident took place on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday at Vijay Vihar area in Rohini. Here are more details.
Accused stabbed Ravi multiple times on his chest
The incident happened when Ravi's shoulder brushed past a man, who was coming from the opposite direction. A fight ensued and the accused, accompanied by his friends, subsequently took out a knife and stabbed Ravi. The victim, who was returning from work at that time, received multiple blows to his chest and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was declared brought dead.
Boiling temper? Trivial issues account for 18.39% of murders
Ravi's body was handed over to his kin after the autopsy. A case has been registered and a probe is on. According to Delhi Police data, 18.39% of killings reported in Delhi till September 15 this year were triggered by sudden provocation over trivial issues.
