On camera: Delhi teen stabs 18-year-old 60 times, then dances
In an extremely disturbing development, an 18-year-old teenager was brutally stabbed 60 times in the head, neck, and ears by a 16-year-old boy in the Welcome area of Delhi on Tuesday night for Rs. 350. CCTV footage of the incident captures the teen attacker stabbing the victim, then standing over the corpse and dancing at one point.

As per the police, the 16-year-old accused didn't appear to know the victim and attacked him when he resisted getting robbed. The accused then strangled the victim, turning him unconscious, before stabbing him several times. It's also reported that the victim was taken to GTB Hospital by locals, where he was declared dead by the doctors. Other reports claim that the victim was stabbed to death for allegedly stealing Rs. 350 from the accused to eat biryani.
Accused arrested, murder weapon recovered: Police
Speaking to ANI, Deputy Commissioner of Police (northeast) Joy Tirkey revealed that they received information of a man being stabbed, and CCTV footage was checked to identify and apprehend the accused boy. "The knife that was used has also been recovered. The motive was robbery. We have registered a case of murder. Further investigation is underway," added Tirkey.
Delhi's child rights protection member reacts to murder
Meanwhile, Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights (DCPCR) member Ranjana Prasad stated that the panel would intervene in the case and seek to counsel the 16-year-old suspect. "The child may not have had an education or a healthy environment at home," said the DCPCR member. "He (the accused) may also have been exposed to violence while growing up," added Prasad.
Recent stabbing incident in Delhi's Lado Sarai
This new incident comes just weeks after a 23-year-old woman was stabbed 13 times in a cab by a stalker in South Delhi's Lado Sarai in October. The accused, Gaurav Pal, was caught by locals and the cab driver and handed over to cops. Identified as Prachi Malik, the victim was reportedly friends with the accused for the past two years, but she had started ignoring him.
