DDA housing scheme 2017: 46,000 applications received as deadline ends
The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has received nearly 46,000 applications for its new housing scheme which offers 12,000 flats across four income categories in Rohini, Vasant Kunj, Dwarka, Narela, Paschim Vihar, Jasola, Pitampura and Siraspur. Of the total number of flats, around 10,000 unoccupied ones are from the 2014 housing scheme, while 2,000 have been lying vacant.
90,000 forms sold after the closure of extended deadline
The 2017 housing scheme offers the 12,000 flats, which range from close to Rs. 7 lakh to over Rs. 1.26 crore. The scheme was launched on June 30, the deadline was September 11 and the total number of applications received stand at over 46,000. About 90,000 forms were sold after the closure of the extended deadline for submission of forms.
Registration fee will be Rs. 1 lakh for lower-income group
For the lower-income group (LIG) category, the registration fee will be Rs. 1 lakh while Rs. 2 lakh will be charged for medium-income group and high-income group flats. The draw of the lots is likely to be streamed online.
